PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the destination information of multicasting transmission to be shared among e-mail recipients and facsimile recipients. SOLUTION: A data transmission system 10 comprises a multicasting transmission means for executing multicasting transmission under the e-mail and facsimile mixed environment; a destination setting means for setting destinations for multicasting transmission, a first adding means which generates image data representing the destinations for e-mail based on the destinations for e-mail set by the destination setting means, and then adds the image data to image data to be transmitted by facsimile for multicasting transmission; and a second adding means which generates letter string data representing the destinations for facsimile based on the destinations for facsimile set by the destination setting means, and then adds the letter string data to e-mails.
