NOVEL CELLULOMONAS SP. GM13 STRAIN PRODUCING CHITINASE

PURPOSE: Provided is novel Cellulomonas sp. GM13 strain producing chitinase which has excellent chitin decomposability and is thus effectively used in manufacturing disaccharide of N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosamine(NAG), as well as oligosaccharide. CONSTITUTION: The novel Cellulomonas sp. GM13 strain(KCTC 18073P) is isolated from soil. It cultured in a medium containing chitin to produce endochitinase and exochitinase which are used for the manufacture of chitin oligosaccharide having high bioavailability. Wherein the endochitinase has molecular weight of 63kDa, optimum pH of 7.0, optimum temperature of 60 deg.C and amino acid sequence at N-end of alanine-glycine-threonine-phenylalanine-threonine-alanine-threonine-phenylalanine.
