PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen defect detecting method and the like, capable of efficiently detecting large and small stain spots, unevenness and the like. SOLUTION: A screen of an examined object display device 100 is divided into one or plural rectangular blocks by a block dividing part 12 of a detection determining means 1, a noise eliminating part 13 calculates a representative value on each block, the complementation is executed on the representative value of each block, a flaw detecting part 14 calculates the mutual correlation in each block with respect to the complemented image data, a value obtained on the basis of the calculated mutual correlation value, is calculated the flaw evaluation value, and a flaw determining part 15 determines the presence or absence of flaws on the screen, on the basis of the flaw evaluation value. |
