PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information reader capable of easily attaching and detaching a laser beam irradiating means to a device, reducing the size, and simply correcting misalignment in the irradiating direction. SOLUTION: The laser beam irradiating means 1A for radiating laser beam to a read object is held on a holder 13 by a gripping means 64, located and fixed, and the holder 13 is mounted on a board 11. A projection 65 serving as a fulcrum of rocking of the holder 13 to the board 11 is formed on a side of the holder 13 abutting on the board 11, whereby in mounting the holder 13 on the board 11, the holder 13 is rocked on the projection 65 to adjust misalignment in the irradiating direction of laser beam emitted by the laser beam irradiating means. |
