PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the recording and reproducing of contents based on an EPG as a viewing schedule with an arrayal to eliminate the restriction of a contents broadcasting time. SOLUTION: An operation control function part 10a sets a time for a user to perform viewing and retrieves EPG data 6 of the contents to be broadcasted in the future, the contents recorded in a recording part 2 and the contents recorded in obtained recording media. A priority order retrieval function part 10b retrieves the priority order of the contents in response to condition information which is set in a user profile 8. A contents information table generating function part 10c generates the EPG where EPG data 6 are arrayed in priority order within the time for user's viewing by considering a contents broadcasting time and generates a direction sign which indicates the movable direction of each kind of EPG data 6 on a time axis in the generated EPG. A display control function part 10d displays the contents in a display part 3 in accordance with the EPG.
