PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translation lookaside buffer capable of providing high speed translation and high speed by-pass. SOLUTION: This address translating device includes a translation looaside buffer for translating a virtual address into a physical address in a variable page size memory having N-possible page sizes. The translation lookaside buffer receives the virtual address, and includes a CAM and a page table entry array. The CAM stores the virtual address tag corresponding to the physical address. The page table entry array is connected to the CAM, includes plural page table entries, and stores the corresponding physical address in the virtual address tag of the CAM. The page table entries are respectively provided with a first- type memory cell and a second-type memory cell.
