PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mobile information terminal, which surely makes a user recognize the contents information of an event generated. SOLUTION: This terminal comprises notifying means 6, 19 for notifying generation of an event; a first display means 20 for displaying contents information of the event generated; a second display means 26 having the display range narrower than that of the first display means 20, responding means 41, 62 for sending responses to the notifying means 6, 19; and a display control means 40 for displaying the contents information to the second display means 26 when responses are issued from the responding means 41, 62.
