PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the re-starting time taken for switching a communication terminal from a communication waiting mode to a communication mode, thereby reducing the power consumption of the communication terminal. SOLUTION: A communication terminal CT comprises an SDRAM 13, having an auto refresh mode and a self-refreshing mode and an image processing integrated circuit 1, having a first and second modes switched under control of an external signal. Upon switching from the communication mode to the communication waiting mode, the SDRAM 13 is switched to the self-refreshing mode to hold a control program for controlling the image processing integrated circuit 1, without the use of external control signals. Then, operation clock signals CLK, CLK1 are stopped from being fed to the image processing integrated circuit 1 and the SDRAM 13. This greatly reduces the re-start time of the image processing integrated circuit 1. |
