<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a unit price to be indefinite, to make a total contract amount to be constant and to permit a bidder to obtain an objective article at the price as low as possible. SOLUTION: On an auction site 2, the total contract amount of articles is previously designated and is stored in the RAM 26 of a computer. When Internet auction is performed, a transmission control part 27 receives the bidding amounts of the bidders, which are sent from the terminals 3 of the bidders through the Internet 1. CPU 21 accumulates the received bidding amounts and the number of bidding times, and obtains the accumulated bidding amount and the accumulated number of bidding times of the articles. When the accumulated bidding amount is within the range of a prescribed amount with respect to the total contract amount which is previously designated, the number of the contracts and the contract amount of auction are determined based on the accumulated bidding amount and the accumulated number of bidding times.</p> |
