PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile machine that does not apply excessive loads to servers nor terminals on the other sides with image data. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine is provided with a facsimile modem unit which transmits and receives facsimile image information. The facsimile machine is also provide with a data modem unit which transmits and receives data signals and a means which automatically downloads information notifying the transmission of specific facsimile image information to the electronic mail address corresponding to a specific destination through the data modem unit by using a data signal at the time of transmitting the facsimile image information to the facsimile number of the destination through the facsimile modem unit.
