PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor wherein the slot width of an armature having an iron core constituted of a curling core is uniform. SOLUTION: The motor comprises the armature having the curling iron core 26 formed by annularly folding a magnetic member formed by coupling together a plurality of salient poles 36 formed by laminating a plurality of magnetic thin plates, insulating members 35a installed so as to cover the surfaces of the salient poles 36, and coils 27 wound around the salient poles 36 on the iron core 26 with the insulating members 35a in between; and a rotor placed inside the armature in the radial direction. The insulating members 35a placed on the adjoining salient poles 36 are abutted against each other when the magnetic member is folded. As a result, the width d of the slots formed between the salient poles 36 is uniformized.
