PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device or method (resampler) for converting a sampling speed of a digital signal string that reduces an interpolation error of an output string. SOLUTION: The major part of the resampler comprises an evaluation device, an adjustment unit, a timer and an interpolator. The evaluation device calculates a set point phase (ϕset, k) and a sampling speed ratio (Rk) from the input output strings and the adjustment unit generates a signal to control the interpolator through the timer on the basis ofΦk, Rk. Thus, the interpolator conducts interpolation with a small error to generate an output signal string (Sout).
