PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided an electromagnetic wave absorbent which is superior in electromagnetic wave absorption properties and furthermore light in weight. SOLUTION: A mixed powder material is composed of ferrite magnetic powder having a spinel structure or a magnet plumbite structure of a crystal system and ceramic powder mixed at a weight ratio 99.5:0.5 to 90:10. The electromagnetic wave absorbent is formed of the powder material.
