摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charger of an electric vehicle, capable of holding driveability and preventing a break of a battery by smoothly performing energy regeneration or power generation by a generator even when the battery temperature is low. SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle 1 is provided with an M/G3; the battery 10 that charges or discharges the M/G3; a control means that performs energy regeneration or power generation by the M/G3 under given drive conditions of the hybrid vehicle 1; a battery temperature detecting means that detects the temperature that has relative relation with the temperature of the battery 10; and a power control element 12 and a controller 13 that adjust electric power charged in the battery 10 by consuming the power supplied from the M/G3 by an external resistor 11 connected to a path between the M/G3 and the battery 10. The power control element 12 and the controller 13 are configured to control the electric power adjusted by the external resistor 11 in accordance with the battery temperature detected by the battery temperature detecting means.
