PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera without accidentally interrupting an electrical connection between a camera body and a recording media during writing image data into the recoding media, and capable of surely protecting the recording media and the image data. SOLUTION: The digital camera comprises an image pickup optical system for forming a subject image, an image pickup means, an image processing means for process the image data taken by the image pickup means, a exchangeable recording media for recording the image data processed by the image processing means and insertion and withdrawal means. It is characterized in having means for being incapable of insertion and withdrawal of the recoding media at least while the image processing means and the recording media communicate. |
