PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for three-dimensional digital modulation and demodulation are provided to output two signals by performing a linear combination process for three channel signals and transmit a modulated signal by spreading and modulating two signals. CONSTITUTION: A linear combination portion(200) receives three channel signals and performs a linear combination process for the received channel signals according to a predetermined rule. A spreading and carrier modulation portion(210) performs a complex spreading process for signals A and B of the linear combination portion(200) and transmits the complex-spread signals. A despreading and carrier demodulation(220) converts a received signal to a baseband signal by using a carrier and outputs the signals A and B by performing an inverse diffusion process for the baseband signal. A linear combination portion(230) performs a linear combination process for the signals A and B and outputs an estimate I-channel signal and an estimate Q-channel signal. A channel signal detector(260) estimates and outputs a Z-channel signal outputted from the despreading and carrier demodulation(220). A virtual signal detector(250) estimates and outputs the signal C by using the signal A, the signal B, a weighted value matrix, and the estimated Z-channel signal. A round filter(240) detects and outputs the I-channel signal and the Q-channel signal from the estimated I and Q channel signals and an inverse matrix from the linear combination portion(230) and a virtual signal estimated from the virtual signal detector(250).
