PURPOSE: A fire retardant filter is provided which is manufactured using VISIL so that fire retardancy is increased, the fire retardant filter is slowly burned, and toxic gases are not generated. CONSTITUTION: The fire retardant filter comprises a fiber layer(2) at the lower part of glass scrim(1); a VISIL layer(3) which is adhered onto the upper part of the glass scrim(1), wherein the fiber layer(2) is selected from aramid, Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), acrylic and polyimide, and the VISIL layer(3) and the fiber layer(2) except the glass scrim(1) are mixed in a mixing ratio of 50 wt.%:50 wt.%. The fire retardant filter comprises an aramid fiber layer at the lower part of glass scrim(1); and a VISIL layer which is adhered onto the upper part of the glass scrim(1), wherein the VISIL layer and the aramid fiber layer are blended in a mixing ratio of 50 wt.%:50 wt.%. The fire retardant filter comprises a polyester fiber layer at the lower part of polyester scrim; a VISIL layer which is adhered onto the upper part of the polyester scrim, wherein the VISIL layer and the polyester fiber layer except the polyester scrim are mixed in a mixing ratio of 30 wt.%:70 wt.%.
