PURPOSE: An ARS(Automatic Response System) apparatus for paging a communication terminal using a car number and a method thereof are provided to receive a car number from a caller, to obtain a called subscriber's wired/wireless communication subscriber number matched with the received car number from a database, and to transmit the caller's text or voice message to the called subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A paging system using a car number is composed of a calling communication terminal(100), a called communication terminal(200), a wired/wireless communication network(300), a wired/wireless communication service company(400), and an ARS apparatus(500). The user of the calling communication terminal(100) pages the called communication terminal(200) using a car number. The wired/wireless communication network(300) interconnects the calling communication terminal(100) and the called communication terminal(200). The wired/wireless communication service company(400) provides communication service to the users of the calling communication terminal(100) and the called communication terminal(200) through the wired/wireless communication network(300). The ARS apparatus(500) is connected with the wire/wireless communication service company(400). If a wired/wireless communication subscriber accesses the ARS apparatus(500) and inputs a desired car number, the ARS apparatus(500) calls a communication terminal corresponding to the inputted car number and transmits a text or voice message.
