PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion-conductive polymer having high ionic conductivity, excellent in heat resistance and having a protonic acid radical and provide an ion-conductive polymer film for a fuel cell and a fuel cell using it. SOLUTION: This polymer used in this invention is characterized in separating the proton acid radical such as a sulfonic acid radical or a carboxylic acid radical from the principal chain structure of the polymer by a spacer structure of one or more atoms such as alkyl, ketone, nitrile or polyimide.
