PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery having a highly airtight and liquid-tight terminal portion. SOLUTION: The battery comprises: a battery casing (1) provided with a hole (2) through which to insert a conductive terminal (4); an annular projection (3) formed around the hole (2) on the inside wall of the casing (1); a means (5) to tighten the terminal (4); and a terminal base (6), made of deformable conductive material, which is connected to the terminal (4) in the casing (1), wherein the projections (3) is forced to cut into the top surface of the base(6) by tightening the means (5).
