PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge and a disk device, by which the number of holes for desired detection and positioning is secured in a narrow non-occupied part in a miniaturized cartridge member. SOLUTION: The disk device is characterized by providing a cartridge member to store a disk with hole parts for positioning to the disk device in a functional range to open/close detection holes provided to the cartridge member to detect propriety of recording/reproduction on the cartridge side in the disk device.
