PURPOSE: A cover assembly for protecting a product package box is provided to perfectly protect corners of the box, and to appropriately distribute a load applied by another box laminated over the box. CONSTITUTION: The cover assembly(10) for protecting a product package box consists of a plane part comprising a flat square(1) surrounded by four corner contours(2) having a plurality of guide slots(4) respectively, and four partial squares extending outward from each corner contour; corner reinforcing parts(3) fitted to the guide slots of the corner contour to be guided and supported by the corner contour in order to protect corners; and a plurality of load distributing parts installed between corresponding corner contours of the flat square for reinforcing the flat square and distributing a load applied to the flat square.
