PURPOSE: Provided is a sizer which can apply more paste at any location of transverse direction of sheet-like material, and thus apply more paste at ends in comparison with the center in the sheet-like material. CONSTITUTION: The sizer comprising a paste container, a sizing roller(1), and doctor roller(3) for controlling an amount of sized paste, is characterized in that a controller for transversely controlling an amount of paste when sizing on sheet-like material, is positioned at any one roller of sizing roller(1) and doctor roller(3), or both; and that grooves(2) having different depths are transversely formed on the sheet-like material, as the controller, and the roller surface having deeper grooves applies more paste on the sheet-like material.
