Process is used for connecting an electrical wire (15) with an electrical supply bar (11). The bar consists of at least one rigid thin metallic plate having at least two flat, parallel surfaces and low-height lateral sides located at a right angle to the surfaces. The electrical wire is connected to the lateral sides so that a raised surface is not created on the flat, parallel surfaces. At least one recess (12, 13) is provided in the electrical supply bar (11). The recess (12, 13) receives at least a stripped end portion (14) of the electrical wire (15) and also at least one conductive material (16) for electrically connecting the end portion (14) of the electrical wire to the electrical supply bar (11). The recess (12, 13) can be L-shaped. The horizontal section (12) of the L-shaped recess is contained entirely within the electrical supply bar and is adapted for receiving at least one stripped end portion (14) of the electrical wire conductor (15). The vertical branch (13) opens out onto at least one of the flat, parallel surfaces of the electrical supply bar (11) and is adapted for receiving at least one electrically conductive material (16). Alternatively, the recess can be T-shaped. The horizontal section of the T-shaped recess is contained entirely within the electrical supply bar and is adapted for receiving at least two opposed end portions of at least two respective two electrical wire conductors. The vertical section of the T-shaped recess opens out onto at least one of the flat, parallel surfaces of the electrical supply bar and is adapted for receiving at least one electrically conductive material. In yet another embodiment, the electrical supply bar comprises two superposed metallic plates. At least one surface opening is made in at least one of the plates and at least one through opening which opens out into the at least one opening is made in the same plate or in the other plate, to constitute the recess. Connection of the electrical wire with the lateral sides of the electrical supply bar is achieved by over-molding at least the partially stripped end portion of the electrical wire with laterally extending conductive material (16) having a thickness less than or equal to the electrical supply bar. After connecting the electrical wire (15) to the lateral sides of the electrical supply bar (11), the electrical supply bar is coated with an electrically insulating material (17). An Independent claim is given for a device for electrically connecting at least one electrical wire with at least one electrical supply bar.
