PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient head wiping unit for an ink-jet printer in a simple structure, capable of wiping the ink droplets adhered on the head nozzle surface of the ink ejecting head as liquid droplets without scattering the same to the vicinity in an ink-jet printer, or the like. SOLUTION: Liquid droplets of an ink 11 adhered on the ink head surface 4a are wiped and eliminated by three blades 15, 14, 16 formed on the upper surface of a belt 6 to be moved in the arrow C direction orthogonal to the carriage scanning direction (B) of an ink ejecting head 4. The blade 14 is contacted with the head nozzle surface 4a so as to wipe the liquid droplets of the ink 11 with the blade 15 not contacting therewith. The wiped ink droplets 17 are adhered on the rear surface of the blade 15 without scattering to the vicinity. Moreover, the ink droplets 17 adhered on the tip end side of the blade 14 are blown off to the front side of the blade 16 so as to be adhered in the subsequent belt moving step. Thereby, an ink droplet wiping and eliminating operation can be carried out certainly.
