摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device wherein contaminants and impurities remaining in the inner part of a liquid crystal can be reduced to the utmost, an alignment defect is eliminated and the reduction of the life of the liquid crystal can be prevented. SOLUTION: When the liquid crystal device provide with a liquid crystal layer 41 interposed between substrates 10 and 20 and alignment layers 11 and 21 formed on the surfaces on the liquid crystal layer side of the substrates is manufactured, at least one substrate is constituted of a light transmitting material, and the alignment layers are constituted of an obliquely deposited film consisting of an inorganic material. A sealing material 30 is constituted of a UV curing type sealing material and the entire surfaces of the substrates are irradiated with UV to cure the sealing material and burn off the organic contaminants on the surfaces of the alignment layers, simultaneously when or after the sealing material is disposed between the substrates to stick the both substrates to each other and before the liquid crystal is injected between the substrates.
