Heat treatment of drawn synthetic threads - before texturising

Synthetic threads are transformed before texturation operations by drawing the spun thread, winding on a large sized spool, stoving under vacuum at a temp. of 40 - 45 degrees, subjecting to a second stoving at a higher temp., and then subjecting to a final stoving under vacuum at a temp. slightly above that of the second stoving. The second stoving is carried out at 53 degrees, and the final stoving at 55 degrees. The treatment eliminates all irregularities in the thread wound on the large-sized spools.
