PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate comprising a plastics substrate coated with a novel overcoat layer which is film formed at low temperature and in a short time and which is excellent in smoothness, adhesion property to a transparent electrode (ITO(indium tin oxide)) and scratch resistance of the obtained coating film. SOLUTION: The color filter substrate is characterized by coating the plastics substrate with the overcoat layer, which is obtained from a composition for over-coating containing an organometallic compound (A), expressed by a general formula (1), R<1> m M(OR<2> )n (where M is a metal element, R<1> is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkyl group with a functional group, optionally identical or different respectively, R<2> is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an acyl group, optionally identical or different respectively, n is an integer equal to one or more and further m+n coincides with the atomic valence of the metal element M), and/or its hydrolyzed and condensed product, a polar group containing polymer (B) and a silane coupling agent (C) having a functional group capable of reacting with the polar group containing polymer (B) in the molecule. |
