PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive structure dispensing with a holding member for post-fitting a wear detector to a rear backing board. SOLUTION: A constriction section 2a having a thinner length than a pad backing board 1 is formed between the front and rear ends 2b, 2c of a wear detector 2. The outer peripheral shape of the end sectional face is formed to have a noncircular shape to be locked. The opening of the rear board has a hole 1a anchoring the constriction 2a and a profile corresponding to the outer peripheral shape of the sectional face near the constriction 2a for anchoring the constriction 2a and provided with a second by-pass 1d to avoid interference of the rear end 2c with the rear backing board 1 when a first by-pass 1c and the constriction 2a are guided in the hole 1a through the notch 1b from the peripheral side of the pad backing board 1, in the notch 1b for guiding the constriction 2a from the peripheral side of the backing board 1 into the hole 1a, and the depth of the side end of the recess le is made shallower than the recess 1e and a slope face is formed in the by-passes 1c, 1d, a wear detector 2 is inserted at an angle along the slope face and locked by the step difference of the second by-pass 1d and the recess 1e side end.
