PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition structure, in which a spacious room space can be easily and firmly partitioned into two rooms, and an entrance opening with a prescribed width is provided on one side of the partition structure so that a person can come in and out through the entrance while the floor surface is barrier free. SOLUTION: A housing recessed section 3 is provided on one side of the opening 1 communicating with the partitioned rooms, to house a plurality of sliding door panels 2, 2 in an overlapped manner. On the ceiling side of the housing recessed part, two tracks of short rails 4a, 4b are arranged, on which protrusions 5, 5 fitted on both top sides of the sliding door panels 2, 2 are hung, so that the sliding panels 2, 2 can be slid out while they are suspended. The sliding panels 2, except for one panel to stay, are sequentially slid sidewise toward the opening 1 along an upper rail 4, whose one side is set perpendicular to both short rails 4a, 4b, and are fixed to form the partition. The stayed one panel is used to open and close the entrance formed between the partition and the housing recessed section 3.
