PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chromate treated article having both of high adhesion at an interface and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The chromate treated article is obtained by forming a galvanized layer 2 on the surface of an iron plate 1 and forming a heat treated chromate coating film 3 on the surface of the galvanized layer 2, and the adhesion strength of the heat treated chromate coating film 3 is set to be 0.5 to 0.7 N when the strength is measured by a scratch testing machine.
