PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing stuck materials on the surface of a roll provided in a plating bath, which maintains the ability to remove stuck dross even when the roll is continuously used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: In the device for removing stuck materials on the surface of the roll provided in the plating bath by scraping away stuck dross on the surface of the roll by pressing a blade 7 to the surface 4 of the roll 4 provided in the plating bath, a blade having a tip end part made of a sialon-based or silicon nitride-based ceramic is provided as the blade 7. It is preferable that the blade is held through a spring 10.
