PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leveling device for a storage hopper capable of gradually collapsing a heap of the loose bulk material with simple structure hard to be broken. SOLUTION: In this leveling device for a storage hopper for leveling the loose bulk material stored in a rectangular hopper 50, a presser plate 1 is provided inside of the hopper 50, and the upper end thereof is pivotally supported by a pin 2 at a part close to the inner surface of a side wall of the hopper 50, and the presser plate 1 is rocked around the pin 2 by a reciprocating means such as a cylinder 4. The heap of the loose bulk material heaped in the hopper 50 is pushed to a side by the rocking of the presser plate 1, and gradually collapses.
