PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding mechanism provided with a plate spring for pressing the paper sheets to an ejector member with the pressure-contact force without having influence to the design. SOLUTION: A movable pickup roller 32 for ejecting the paper sheet 41 is fitted to a mechanism chassis 31. One end of the plate spring 33a for pressing the paper sheet to the pickup roller is fixed to the mechanism chassis. A free end of the plate spring is turnably connected to a movable plate 33b freely. An engagement part 37 of the movable plate is locked with the mechanism chassis to restrict the moving range by the restoring force of the plate spring.
