PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat back frame for a vehicular seat equipped with a three point seat belt where strong rigidity to prevent the occurrence of buckling and deformation in a back crash is secured, weight reduction is promoted, and the application of an active type head rest is made possible. SOLUTION: The seat back frame 30 is constituted of a pipe frame arranged along the outer shape of the seat back 12 and a tower frame 50 soldered to the pipe frame 30 and maintaining the rigidity of one side part of the seat back 12. The tower frame 50 is formed of a side bracket 51 on outer side, a side bracket 52 on inner side and an insert brace 53. Flanges 511, 521 are integrally formed along the front edge part of both side brackets 51, 52, so as to secure rigidity strength effective against the bending load along the vehicular longitudinal direction in a back crash.
