PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring unit capable of preventing damage to a V-ring due to scattering of chips and coolant water and preventing the entering of the chips and coolant water in a housing. SOLUTION: In this boring unit 10, a slinger 7 is fitted to close the interior of a spindle case 1 between one end inner peripheral surface in the spindle case 1 and one end outer peripheral surface of a spindle 2, and a clearance constituted by the slinger 7 and an adjusting thrust nut 5 is formed in labyrinth shapes 7a, 7b inhibiting the entering of a fluid and entering of the chips.
