SAFETY DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety in inspection work to be conducted in a work pit farmed under a car. SOLUTION: The car 3 is driven downward from above in an elevator shaft 1 at an inspection travel speed by traveling operation from a position on the car 3 or close to the elevator shaft. When the car 3 reaches a specified inspection height position from a bottom surface of the elevator shaft 1, an inspection limit switch 15 is actuated to stop the car 3. The work pit can thus be secured under the car 3 with a sufficient work height.
