PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet carrying roller member simplified in the assembling process without increasing the number of parts items and increasing manufacturing man-hours, and provide the manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This sheet carrying roller member 80 is provided, for example, opposite to a driving roller for carrying a sheet to a head part of a printer so that the sheet is pinched for carrying between the sheet carrying roller member 80 and the driving roller. The sheet carrying roller member is formed of a shaft member 81 and a coating member 82 coating the peripheral part of the shaft member 81. The coating member 82 is formed by coating the electrostatic powder of the fluorine-included resin having a small coefficient of friction between the sheet. The coating member 82 can be easily formed at a desirable thickness. With the structure that the peripheral part of the shaft member 81 is coated with the coating member 82, the sheet carrying roller member 80 can be formed of one member without increasing the number of parts items, and easy to be handled.
