PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container which can be readily assembled into a container (a box) with both side plates raised up to obtain hygienic packaging. SOLUTION: In a box body 2, one ends of both side plates 22 and 22' are connected through connecting flaps 25 and 25' with a connecting side plate 24 so as to be raised interlocking with the connecting side plate 24, the other ends of both side plates 22 and 22' are connected at an end side triangular portions 22a with connecting flaps 26 and 26' continuously connected to both ends of a front side plate 23, therefore, the box body can be folded. In a cover portion 3, one ends of both side plates 32 and 32' are connected with both ends of a jacket side plate 33 at triangular parts of connecting flaps 34 and 34', the connecting flaps 34 and 34' are covered with a folding piece 35 continuously connected to the jacket side plate 33, and the side plates 32 and 32' are raised for drawing movable parts of the connecting flaps 34 and 34' at both ends of the folding piece 35 to form the cover portion.
