PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder which can automatically correct registration of a recording paper and accurately secure a head margin of the recording paper. SOLUTION: There are provided a control means for making an imaging part image a mark at a position separated by a set value from a leading end of the recording paper at an adjustment time of the head margin, and a registration amount detection sensor arranged at a predetermined position between the imaging part and a delivery part for measuring a distance from the leading end of the recording paper to the mark. A time after a registration sensor detects the leading end of the recording paper before the imaging part starts exposure is set so that the distance measured by the registration amount detection sensor agrees with the set value.
