PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate separate reference connection. SOLUTION: In this color dispersion measuring method for an optical waveguide, an amplitude-modulated wide band light signal is supplied to a light transmission link for measurement, the transmitted signal is separated into a reference route 5 for demodulating a modulated frequency of the transmitted signal, and a measuring route 8 for demodulating the transmitted signal respectively by plural light frequencies, and the color dispersion is determined based on a phase differenceΔβbetween the some demodulated signals in the measuring route 8 and the demodulated signal in the reference route 5.
