<p>The maxillary arch is provided with a band which is then fixed to a movable rail. Next, arms are fixed to the cheekbones and then the maxillary bone is extended forward and downward with angle-controlling screws and forward-extending screws provided in the main body of the instrument. By using this instrument, the maxillary bone can be exactly, conveniently and non-invasively extended within a short period of time in a manner appropriate for each patient.</p> |
