The invention concerns a double-balanced rotary pump comprising two cylinder revolving barrels (20a, 20b), and axial pistons (27a, 27b) associated with control means (11), the displacement C1 of the pistons (27a) of the first barrel (20a) being greater then the displacement C2 of the pistons (27b) of the second barrel (20b), the pistons (27a, 27b) axially opposite moving in the same direction, one discharging the liquid from its cylinder while the other draws the liquid into its cylinder. The invention also concerns a treating device for a composition, in particular for water purification, by reverse osmosis comprising said inventive hydraulic pump and a treating chamber (1) with reverse osmosis membrane.
