PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality ink jet recording sheet which is excellent in ink receiving performance, etc., especially, adhesion of a coloring material receiving layer having high porosity while including a lot of additives such as an inorganic component, and which prevents occurrence of a peeling phenomenon in manufacturing and use. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet, in which the coloring material receiving layer containing inorganic pigment fine particles, a mordant and a water soluble resin is provided on a substrate, is characterized in that at least a surface of the substrate on a side of formation of the coloring material receiving layer undergoes corona discharge treatment under an atmosphere containing carbonic acid gas of 20 vol.% or more. |
