PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving operation device for a construction machine capable of switching to an energy-saving operation if actual fuel consumption is below target fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This energy-saving operation device is provided with a fuel residual quantity sensor 2 detecting a fuel residual quantity inside a fuel tank, a fuel consumption computing part 6c computing an actually consumed fuel quantity from a certain point in the past to the present point on the basis of the fuel value detected by the fuel residual quantity sensor 2 for computing the actual fuel consumption as a fuel consumption quantity per a unit time, a comparison part 6g comparing the actual fuel consumption found by the fuel consumption computing part 6c with previously stored target fuel consumption, and an operation controlling part 6i controlling the number of engine revolutions for switching the construction machine to the energy-saving operation when the actual fuel consumption falls below the target fuel consumption.
