PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance fixing force of the cover of electrical component used for a compressor for a refrigerating facility, and to enhance operability at attaching/detaching of the cover. SOLUTION: This electrical component for the compressor comprises a fitting fixed to an outer surface of a container covering a sealed terminal part provided to the container of the compressor, and a code-holding tool and a cover mounted to the fitting; the fitting comprises cut and rise parts opposed to right and left of an upper part, cut and rise parts opposed to right and left of a center part and respectively having locking holes, and a projection part bent at its lower part; the code-holding tool mounted to the projection part is provided with a pair of ribs, such that both right and left side surfaces are extended; the cover is provided, at the outer surface of both right and left sidewalls, with tapered projections inclined toward an inserting direction, and the projections are arranged so as to correspond to the cut and rise parts; and the cut and rise parts at the upper part and the pair of ribs are arranged to an inside and the cut and rise parts at the center part are arranged to an outside, thereby holding the sidewalls of the cover to be inserted.
