PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band feeder and a binder equipment using the feeder by which a tail end of the band can be stopped at a predetermined position and labor saving can be attained, without reducing a yield of use of the band. SOLUTION: The band feeder which feeds the band to a binding unit that binds an outer periphery of a coil comprises a rewinder that can mount a band reel with the band wound, an energizing means to apply a tension to the band fed from the rewinder and a means to detect remained quantities of the band using an angular encoder which converts movement of a follow-up arm that follows the remained quantities of the band in the band reel to revolution of a rotational axis, and detects an angle of the rotational axis.
