A cable termination unit comprises a central antenna TV circuit (3) receiving or transmitting downstream/upstream data and downstream data are fed to a data circuit (4) for passage to the living/working unit. Another part of the data is fed to a modem circuit (5) and then into the local network. A recognizable test signal from a device (6) is fed into the local network via a circuit (3 or 5) and a detector (7) detects interference signals generated in the network and passed from an antenna (8). Independent claims are included for a cable termination unit and for a method of detecting interference emitted by cable system. |
