<p>A controller for a permanent magnet motor which enables synchronous control even when the number of magnetic pole pairs of the permanent magnet motor is not an integer multiple of the repetition frequency of a rotation phase signal per rotation. This controller comprises a first signal conversion means for generating the magnetic pole phase signal ζ of the rotor on the basis of a rotation phase signal f obtained by sensing the rotation of the output shaft of the permanent magnet motor (1), and for converting the rotation phase signal f to a rotation angle signal f' proportional to a rotation angle ζ, every rotation of the rotor of the permanent magnet motor, before synchronously controlling the permanent magnet motor according to this magnetic pole phase signal and a second signal conversion means for converting a rotation angle signal to the magnetic pole phase signal ζ repeating by a time equal to the number of magnetic pole pairs of the permanent magnet motor.</p> |
