<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high cleanliness steel by removing slag grains enclosed when steel is tapped off from a converter. SOLUTION: When the molten steel decarburize-refined in the converter is poured into a ladle, flux having >=1,700 deg.C melting point and containing <5 mass% flux grains with a diameter of <100μm, is added into molten steel pouring flow. In this way, aggregation and floating removal with suspending grains of the slag and solid flux, are promoted to efficiently produce the high cleanliness steel.</p> |
